El Chico Records was born out of necessity — out of the need to make the kind of music without which staying in this world feels unbearable. This is our voice, our journey: one that carries us from the studio out into the snowfields of the Arctic, into the tundra, into thunderous seas and into still, silent deserts.
We do everything: from creation to concert organisation, from recording and mixing to mastering, from composition to production. Bring us a sonic question — and if it meets our philosophy, we will take it on.
Our philosophy
El Chico Records lives somewhere between ritual and resonance. Sound as a place — a topography to wander through, score, ritualise, and broadcast back to the world. Each artist on the label is a different way of asking the same question: what does listening become when it slows down?
The Folds
Ritual Jazz · Drone · Krautrock · Kosmische
A duo from Vilnius — Domantas Pūras (piano, keys, electronics, guitar) and Dominykas Snarskis (drums, percussion). Their EP unfolds as “a ritual, a drive, a spirit, a hypnosis” — krautrock pulse smudged into ceremonial drone, electroacoustic textures pulled across long horizons. A new full-length is scheduled for 2026.

A trio built around Domantas Pūras, Ignas Šoliūnas and Jokūbas Preikša. Modular synthesis meets raga form, ritual structure and live improvisation. Albums like Ragas for City Dwellers, Cyber Mass 2043, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? stitch field recording, ceremony and altered listening into something pastoral and cyber at once.

Domantas Pūras

A composer who treats music as topography — currents underneath the surface, slow tectonic time. Like an Underground River (ECR001) is a body of compositional listening: piano, electronics and the sea, scored for the spaces between.

Ignas Šoliūnas

Electroacoustic composer working in drone, minimalism, theatre and film score — sound treated as architecture, room, weather. Co-founder of Bloom Theory Theatre. Festivals: Gaida, Druskomanija, Loftas Fest, Tallinn Music Week. Erase for Prosperity? (ECR003) is the latest dispatch.
